Bachelor program psychology (PO 2020/2015)

The Chair of Social Psychology and Personality Psychology is mainly responsible for the modules 3.1 Social Cognition, 3.2 Social Cognition, 3.3 Social Processes, and 3.6 Interindividual Differences. She also participates in modules 0.1 Introduction to Psychology, 1.3 Empirical Psychological Research Methods, 4.4 Psychology in Education, 6.2 Project Studies, and 6.3 Bachelor's Thesis.

Module 3.1 Social Cognition

Module 3.1 Social Cognition begins and ends each summer semester. This module includes the lecture Social Cognition (Module 3.1, Element a) and the seminar Basic Social Cognition (Module 3.1, Element b). This module is recommended for the 2nd semester.

In the seminar, a performance record is to be submitted as a preliminary examination performance as determined by the lecturer (e.g. through participation in a small group). Registration for the module final examination is done online via StudiLöwe at least four weeks before the examination date. The dates for the module final examination are announced on the homepage of the Central Examination Office (ZPA). As a rule, one examination date will take place towards the end of the lecture period and a second examination date towards the end of the lecture-free period.

Module 3.2 Social Interaction

Module 3.2 Social Interaction starts and ends every winter semester. This module includes the lecture Social Interaction (Module 3.2, Element a) and the seminar Basic Social Interaction (Module 3.2, Element b). This module is recommended for the 3rd semester.

In the seminar, a performance record is to be submitted as a preliminary examination performance as determined by the lecturer (e.g. through participation in a small group). Module 3.3 Social Processes

The courses in Module 3.3 Social Processes take place in the winter semester. One seminar (e.g., Social Influence, Group Processes, Prosocial Behavior, Aggression) is to be studied from the course offerings of the Chair of Social Psychology and Personality Psychology. In this seminar, students will gain in-depth knowledge of specific topics in social psychology. The seminar ends with a final module exam. Module 3.3 Social Processes is scheduled for the 5th semester.

The final module exam is either oral (30 min.) or written (written exam, 90 min.). The respective form of examination is made known to the students before the beginning of the courses of the module (§12, Para. 2). Registration for the module final examination is done online via StudiLöwe at least four weeks before the examination date. The dates for the module final examination are announced on the homepage of the Central Examination Office (ZPA). As a rule, one examination date will take place towards the end of the lecture period and a second examination date towards the end of the lecture-free period.

Module 3.6 Interindividual differences

The courses in Module 3.6 Interindividual Differences take place every summer semester. This module includes the lecture Differential and Personality Psychology (Module 3.6, Element a) and the seminar Selected Topics in Differential and Personality Psychology (Module 3.6, Element b). This module is recommended for the 4th semester.

In the seminar, at the discretion of the instructor (e.g., through participation in a small group), a performance record must be submitted as a preliminary examination. Registration for the module final examination is done online via StudiLöwe at least four weeks before the examination date. The dates for the module final examination are announced on the homepage of the Central Examination Office (ZPA). As a rule, one examination date will take place towards the end of the lecture period and a second examination date towards the end of the lecture-free period.
