Research Interests

My research interests lie at the intersection of social psychology and personality psychology. In particular, I am interested in the question of which characteristics of the perceiver influence how targets are perceived. From this perspective, I have particularly investigated the topic of mate choice. As a starting point to derive hypotheses about which properties of the perceiver and targets are relevant, I use evolutionary psychological theories.

Besides this, I am currently particularly interested in the extent to which attention allocation to the  smartphone can interfere in social interactions.
